Bathurst – Carmella Roy, 60, of Miramichi Road, Bathurst, passed away on Friday (November 26, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Doris (Chamberlain) Roy.

Carmella attended the Flower of Hope School and the BEST Group for many years.

She is survived by:  Three sisters; Dorothy Roy of Bathurst (with whom she lived with for 35 years), Mary Boucher (Donald) of Bathurst, Rita Gahan (Michael) of Caledonia, ON.  One brother; Jimmy (Shirley) of Salmon Beach.

Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a brother; Ronald and a sister; Betty Ann Ellis.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (December 1, 2010) at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Carmella may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
