Bathurst – Jean-Eudes Doucet, 71, of Riverside Dr., Bathurst, passed away at his residence on Thursday April 14, 2011.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Benedict and Lauza (Cormier) Doucet.
Besides his wife, Claudia (Frenette) Doucet, he is survived by;
One son,
Sylvain (Rolande) of Beresford.
Two daughters,
Jocelyne Hachey (Mark) and
Carolyne Doucet-Ngo (Sieu) both of Bathurst.
One sister, Dolores Godin (late Jean-Baptiste).
One brother, Gérald (Mona) Doucet both of Bathurst.
He was a loving grandpa of 6 grandchildren; Justin, Mélina, Élise, Arielle, Guillaume and Camille.
Several nieces and nephews.
He worked as a RNA for 40 years at the Hôtel Dieu and Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. During his retirement, he offered palliative care services in the home. He had an exceptional gift for making people feel comfortable in their time of need.
He was a member of Cursillo movement and 3rd degree of the Knights of Columbus 12215 of Our Lady of the Rosary and President of Right to Life, Bathurst, a cause close to his heart.
Visitations for Jean-Eudes will be held, Monday April 18, 2011 from 2 p.m. at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon (April 19, 2011) at 4 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary church. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral. Donations in memory of Jean-Eudes may be made to the Right to Life or a favorite charity.
