AGNES FRASER

Bathurst - Mrs. Agnes Fraser, wife of the late Thomas Fraser, formerly of Chalmers Court, Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (May 28, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Dumfries, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Wilson) Johnstone.

Agnes immigrated to Canada as a war bride and settled in New Brunswick.  She was a former member of St. Luke's Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Aid.  Her passion for letter writing, walking, sewing, knitting, quilting, cooking and traveling were he life's interests.

As the last surviving member of her immediate family, Agnes leaves behind one son, Edmund Fraser of Burlington, ON, two daughters, Brenda Fraser of Merritt, BC, Anne Glazier (Alfred) of Bathurst, 3 grandson, 3 great-grandsons and "special" niece Audrey Glendinning of Scotland.

Cremation has taken place and at the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or funeral.  Donation in memory of Agnes may be made to a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
