Bathurst - Gregory Boyle, 84, of the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit, Bathurst and formerly of Hennessy St., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (June l9, 2011) at Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Rebecca (Hadley) Boyle.

He served in World War II with Royal Canadian Navy in Canada and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.  He worked as a tester at the former Smurfit Stone Containers until his retirement.

He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Therese (Landry) Boyle.

Besides his wife, Eunice (LaPointe) (Fournier) Boyle, he is survived by:  Three sons, Vaughn of Santa Barbara, Cal., Steven of Ottawa, ON and Timothy of Bathurst; four step-sons, Mario Fournier (Carolle) of Caraquet, Tony Fournier (Janique) of Pointe-Verte, Paul Fournier (Sophie) of Petite-Rocher and Jeannot Fournier (Lucie) of Bathurst; One step-daughter, Suzie Gruenewald (Ralph) of Dieppe; one sister, Marjorie Boyle of Bathurst. 

12 grandchildren; Mathieu, Yves, Marc Alex, Paul Anthony, Jeremie, Geneve, Myriam, Samuel, Jessie, Zoe, Karl and Bianca.  Several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by brothers, Albert, Guy, Elmer, Bernard, Raymond, sisters, Margaret Greer, Agatha Boyle, Rita Smith and Ethel Boyle.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon (June 23, 2011) at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Gregory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
