MARIE JEANNETTE LEGENDRE

1956 - 2011

Bathurst - Mrs. Marie Jeannette Legendre, 55, of Reese Lane, Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (October 23, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after losing a battle with Cancer and Arthritis.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of Martina (Lecouter) Lavigne and the late Emmanuel Lavigne.

Besides her mother of Bathurst, she is survived by her only child, Justin (Meghan) of Moncton; three sisters, Alice LaPointe of Campbellton, Yvette Lavigne Frank (Alan) and Mary Jean Lavigne (Bonnie Boucher) both of Bathurst; two brothers, Henry Lavigne (Jeanne Mance) and Dennis Lavigne (Jocelyne Pitre) both of Bathurst.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by 2 brothers, Lawrence, Albert and 2 infant sisters, Lorraine and Jeannette.

The family will receive relatives and friends after 7 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (October 26, 2011) at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Jeannette may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Arthritis Society or a favorite charity.  Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. from the Funeral Home and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel.
