Mrs. Stella Bertin, wife of Wilfred Bertin passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital on November 28th, 2011 at the age of 86. She resided in Bathurst. Born to St. Anne, Glouc. Co. she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Therese (Haché) Comeau.
Besides her husband she is survived by
her four children: Roger (Nicole Doiron) from Bathurst, Claudette (Jean-Paul Boudreau) from Beresford, Denise (late Alain Bourget) from Dieppe and Marie-Claire (Zafer Chakhachiro) from Brossard, Que.,
her grandchildren: Louis-Olivier, Philippe, Jean-Michel, Simon, Julie, Stéphanie, Alexandre and Sophie; her great grandchildren: Amélie and Isabelle;
her sister Thérèse Hould from Ottawa;
her sister-in-law, Maria Blanchard from Bathurst and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Holy Family CWL, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and les Dames d’Acadie. She was a long-standing member of the Bathurst Duplicate Bridge Club. Mrs. Bertin enjoyed the company of her immediate family who found comfort in her positive attitude which she demonstrated throughout her life.
Visiting hours at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton), Bathurst, are Wednesday, November 30th from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, December 1st from 2 pm until time of funeral at 4pm at Holy Family Church.
