Moncton - Mélanie Chiasson, 30, of Moncton and formerly of Bathurst, passed away Friday (December 2, 2011) at the Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of Jean-Claude and Glenda (Garrett) Chiasson.

She was a Graduate from Université de Moncton in Nursing in 2003.

Besides her parents of Dunlop, she is survived by her fiancé, William Murphy; her paternal-grandmother, Edna Chiasson (late John) of Bathurst; maternal grandmother, Barbara Garrett (late Robert) of Bathurst; her two sisters: Julie Sarson (Jonathan) of Pictou, N.S. and Monica Chiasson (Eric Roy) of Saint John. Several uncles, aunts and cousins.

The body will rest after 2 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday morning (December 5, 2011) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst.

Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral.
