Bathurst - Mrs. Jeanne Cormier, 88, wife of the late Delphis Cormier, of Munro St., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (December 15, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Anna (Bourgoeis) Despres.

She worked as a hairdresser in Moncton before coming to Bathurst to teach hairdressing at CCNB.  She was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women's League and "Cursillos" prayer group.

She is survived by her only daughter, Daniele Cormier (Don Hachey) of Bathurst;

three brothers: Joseph Despres (late Florence) of Dieppe, Donat Despres (Oliva) of Moncton and Francois Despres (Rachel) of Dieppe;

two grandchildren: Stephanie and Nicholas.  Several nieces, nephews and her beloved caregiver, Anita Daigle.

She was pre-deceased by a sister, Gracia.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon (December 20, 2011) at 4 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Jeanne may be made to Development and Peace or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
