Acton, Ont. - Richard Sylvestre, 58, of Acton, Ont., and formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (December 13, 2011) in Acton, Ont.

Born in Montreal, he was the son of Anna (Rainville) Sylvestre and the late Charles Sylvestre.

Besides his mother of Montreal and his wife, Elizabeth (Miller) Sylvestre of Beresford,

he is survived by five daughters: Dawn Sylvestre (René Siemieniuch) of Bathurst, Brandi Sylvestre (Stephen Roy) of Middle River, Chantale Sylvestre-Bertin (Stephane) of Tremblay, Sarah Sylvestre (René St-Louis) of Beresford and Rikki Sylvestre (Brendan Dunphy) of Fredericton;

two brothers: Marcel (Nicole) and Jacques (Patricia) both of Montreal, Que., two sisters: Nicole Sylvestre and Jocelyne Sylvestre (Guy), both of Montreal, Que., 8 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, André.

The body will rest after 2 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning (December 19, 2011) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral.
