St. Petersburg, Florida -  NORBERT DOUCET, 73, of Bathurst, passed away suddenly on Tuesday December 27, 2011, in St. Petersburg Florida.

Born in Robertville, he was the son of the late Gilbert and  Priscille (Frenette) Doucet.

Besides his wife, Maria Lanteigne, he is survived by two children: Johanne Arseneau (Robert) of Robertville and Joël Doucet (Suzanne Aubé) of Fort McMurray, Alta., four grandchildren: Mélissa, Katrine, Jenna and Jordan; six brothers:  Gérard (Marie-Jeanne) of Orléans, Ont., Lévi (Suzanne) of Beresford, Julien (Pauline) of Dunlop, Louis (Joanne) of Tremblay, Jean-Guy of Robertville and Denis (Andréa Losier) of Robertville; six sisters:  Marie Doucet Boulay (Francis Leger) of Bathurst, Rolande (Rod O'Connell) of Nigadoo, Eliza (Reginald McCoy) of Fredericton, Francine (Maurice Boudreau) of St. Laurent, Jocelyne of Bathurst, Linda (Jean-Guy Lagacé) of Robertville; sister-in-law, Lina Doucet of Petit-Rocher.  Several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Martin.

Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday (January 5, 2012) from Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Church, Robertville.  The Doucet family would appreciate donations to the Fondation de la Villa Sormany, Robertville or a charity of the donors choice.  Arrangements were in the care of Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford.
