Bathurst - Mrs. Claudia McCarthy, wife of the late James McCarthy, of Bathurst, passed away on Monday (January 30, 2012) at the age of 94.

Born in Inkerman, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Stanislas and Angèle (Landry) Arseneau.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, James and a son Allie.

She is survived by

three children:  Gordon of Ormand Beach, Florida, Raymond (Joan) and Phyllis Hudon (John) both of Bathurst;

eight grandchildren: Carla, Dean, Dennis, Jody, Janie Lynn, Phoebe, Lee Ann, James and ten great-grandchildren;

one brother, Albert Arseneau of Moncton;

two sisters: Marie Arseneault (Gil) of Moncton and Angelina Arseneault of Boucherville, Que.

Several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (February 4, 2012) at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst, with a reception to follow in the Church basement.  Donations in memory of Claudia may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
