1945 - 2012

Bathurst - Allan Erle Branch, 66, of Coffyn Cres., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (February 9, 2012) at his residence after a short battle with cancer.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Erle and Alice (Buttimer) Branch.

Allan worked at Eddy Hardware, City of Bathurst, former Consolidated Bathurst, Sitel and for the Canada Games.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen (Doull);

one son, Kirk (Wanda) of Bathurst; 

two grandchildren: Adam (Monique), Alycia Branch and one great-grandchild, Jamie;

two sisters:  Alma Jean Mundle (Ron) of Rexton, Halga Phillips (David) of Red Deer, Alb.,

one brother, Murray Branch (Beverly) of Bathurst;

one brother-in-law, Bill Stewart of Sussex. 

Several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a son, Derrick and a sister, Janice Stewart.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. 

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday afternoon (February 14, 2012) at 2 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Allan may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Cystic Fibrosis or a favorite charity.
