Bathurst - Rose Marie Prendergast Doucet, 77, of Bathurst, passed away peacefully on Monday (July 9, 2012) at Chaleur Regional Hospital Bathurst surrounded by family and friends, after a brief illness.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Benoit and Mary (Doucet) Doucet.

She was a retired School Teacher from the former South Bathurst School and was a member of the New Brunswick Retired Teachers Association.

She was pre-deceased by her 2 husbands: Leonard Prendergast and Albert Doucet; two brothers: Gerald and Paul Doucet.

She is survived by her two children: Theresa Pitre (Cleo) of South Tetagouche and Paul Prendergast (Laurette) of Bathurst

One sister, Claire Boudreau of Beresford.

Honorary family member and best friend, Jackie Theriault of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday (July 13, 2012) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Ch Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
