Bathurst – J. Lucien Drysdale, 88, of Riverside Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Friday (August 31, 2012) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Frank and Wilhelmine (Jean) Drysdale.

He owned and operated Bathurst Photo Service until his retirement, founding member of Club 200 of Holy Family Church and was a member of the Herman J. Good V.C. Br. 18 Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.

Besides his wife, Jacqueline (Doucet) Drysdale, he is survived by:  Three daughters; Mona Drysdale (Claude Potvin) of Kirkland, QC, Monique Crawford of Bathurst and Francine Drysdale (Craig O’Donnell) of Pierrefonds, QC.  Four sisters:  Martina Thibodeau of Bathurst, Juliette Tremblay of Mascouche, QC, Sylvia Riendeau of La Salle, QC and Gisèle Drysdale of Toronto, ON.

 

4 grandchildren, Mathew, Shawn, Sébastien and Yanick, several nieces and nephews.

 

He was pre-deceased by three brothers; Raymond, Romeo, Alcide, three sisters; Dorothea, Parmella, Emilie.

 

The body will rest after 2 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (September 4, 2012) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst.  Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral.  Donations in memory of Lucien may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
