1944 – 2013

The family is deeply saddened to announce the death of Mrs. Juliette "Julie" Lagacé, 68, wife of Gilbert Lagacé, of Allardville, passed away on Tuesday (January 1, 2013) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. 

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late  Arthur and Evelyne (Godin) Melanson. 

Besides her husband, Gilbert, she is survived by two daughters: Lynn Harquail (Darren) of Beresford and Debbie Richard (Maurice) of Allardville. 

Three grandchildren: Danika-Michelle, Courtney and Sébastien. 

Three sisters: Patsy Lavigne (Harvey), Betty Ross and Linda Melanson all of Bathurst. 

Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by a stillborn son, Michel and a brother, Robert "Bobby" Melanson.

Before retirement, Julie worked for many years at Canada Post in Allardville. 

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday afternoon (January 4, 2013) at 4 p.m. from the Église Christ-Roi, of Allardville. 

Donations in memory of Julie may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation or a favorite charity.
