1923 -  2013

Bathurst – Mrs. Beatrice "Bea" Allen, 89, wife of the late William "Bill" Allen, of Youghall Dr, Bathurst, passed away on Friday (February 8, 2013) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Everard and Theresa (Ellis) Prendergast.

She was a member of Saint George’s Anglican Church, Bathurst.

She is survived by two daughters:  Sharon Guignard (Pat) and Grace Roy (Gabriel) both of Bathurst. 

One son, Leslie Allen of Vancouver, B.C.

Four grandchildren:  Tanya, Jeffery, Pierre and Linda.

Two great-granddaughters: Madison and Samantha. 

One brother, Ellis Prendergast (Hazel) of Sault-Ste-Marie, Ont.  

One sister, Anna Ritchie of New Minas, N.S.   Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Leonard.

The body will rest after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral service will be held on Wednesday afternoon (February 13, 2013) at 2:00 p.m. from the St. George's Anglican Church, King Ave., Bathurst. 

Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. 

Donations in memory of Bea may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation, Saint George’s Anglican Church or a favorite charity.
