1921 – 2015
Bathurst – Mrs. Lydwine Chiasson, formerly of Parkside Dr., passed away on December 13th 2015 at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes at the age of 94. Born in Caraquet, she was the daughter of the late Eva (Lanteigne) Albert and the late Edgar Albert and of her late step-mother Diana (Légère) Albert.
She was the wife of the late Philippe Chiasson (1980). She was predeceased by her brothers: Avellin and Auguste.
She will be missed by five sons: Louis, Claude (Guyta), Robert, Jean-Pierre and Paul (Chantal) all of Bathurst.
One daughter, Claudette Chiasson (Wayne Morrison) of Mexico.
Two daughters-in-law: Rina Arseneault (Dan) of Fredericton and Tody Levert (PJ Veniot) of Bathurst.
She adored her ten grandchildren: Erik (Nicole), Shawn (Marie), Michèle (Pierre), Jean-Philippe (Michelle), Paul, France, Danielle, Zach, Samuel and Jacob.
Her three great grandchildren: Tiana, Kalie and Ty.
Two sisters-in-law: Thérèse Albert of Rexton and Mary d'Amours of Rimouski, Que.
The family of her aunt, Bertha (Eusèbe) Godin of Neguac has always held a special place in her heart. Several nieces and nephews.
Lydwine was proud of her group of dear friends and she kept adding more over the years. She loved going places and vacations and rarely, if ever, turned down an offer to play cards and was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral C.W.L. She did not go out much in recent years but was always happy to have her friends over for an afternoon or evening around the card table.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst .
The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday December 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Lydwine may be made to the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes foundation or a charity of your choice.
