1938 – 2015

Bathurst - GOOD, LOIS ANN, 77, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Palliative Care unit, Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, N.B., she was the daughter of Lyall and Isabel (Scott) Good of Rough Waters and South Tetagouche. 

She was the much loved wife of Ralph Good and the beloved mother of Barry (Carol) Good of Pickering Ont., Alan Good (Sheila MacGowan) of Rothesay N.B. and Wendy (Craig) Smith of St. Albert Alta.  In addition to her three children, she is survived by four grandchildren: Jennifer (Kevin) Aguiar and Shayna (Anthony) DelleDonne, Connor and Erica Smith, and her first great grandchild, Logan DelleDonne.

Despite a life filled with many health challenges, Lois always remained faithful, positive, joyful and loving.

Lois was the ultimate "church lady"!  She dedicated her life and passion to the work of the First United Church in Bathurst and was involved with numerous committees, boards and, of course, her much loved choir.  She gave generously of her time at hospitals and nursing homes always sharing words of joy and love.  She was and is an inspiration to many and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) of Bathurst.  Her visitation will be from 2-4, and 7-9 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Elhatton Funeral Home, 187 St. George St, Bathurst.  Funeral service will be held on Friday afternoon, December 18, 2015 at 2 pm from the FirstUnitedChurch, St.Patrick St.

The family wishes to extend profound thanks to the health professionals at Chaleur Regional and the George Dumont Hospitals.  They wish to especially thank the wonderful and compassionate staff of the Palliative Care Unit in Bathurst.  Their care and concern was truly a blessing.
