Allardville – Damase Vienneau, 93, of Allardville, passed away on Tuesday January 26, 2016 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Alex and Brigitte (Doucet) Vienneau.

He served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Army in Canada and overseas, member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18 Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.  He was retired from the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. 

Besides his wife, Hazel (Legault) Vienneau, he is survived by one daughter, Lisa Vienneau (Paul Lagacé) of Allardville.

One foster daughter, Sandra Desroche (Yvon) of Pabineau First Nation.

Two grandchildren, Julie, Ricky and one great-grandson, Nathaniel.

Several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

The body will rest at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst, on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 2 to 4, 7 to 9 and Saturday, January 30, 2016  from 11 am until time of funeral.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday afternoon January 30, 2016 at 1 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
