Bathurst - Emile "Meno" Ouellette, 94, of Union St. and formerly of Ocean Ridge St., Bathurst, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday January 27, 2016.

Born in Jonquière, Que., he was the son of the late Willie and Albertine (Simard) Ouellette.

Emile was an electrician at the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill until his retirement in 1980. 

He was Honorary Life Member of the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Council 1935, Bathurst, he was an avid hockey fan especially for the Titans and Canadians; he loved hunting and fishing.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Ursula (Babin) Ouellette.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Aubé and five children: Gerald "Lou" (Jane), Denise Aubie (Vic), Charline Ouellette (Guy Desilva), Yvon (Anna Robichaud-Ouellette) and Louise Ouellette (Pierre Plourde) all of Bathurst.

Thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

One daughter-in-law, Judy Ouellette Nicholson (Jack) of Bathurst.

One sister, Lorette Landry (Gerard) of Oshawa, Ont., several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Paul; two brothers: John, Ralph and a sister, Violet.

The body will rest on Friday January 29, 2016 from 2 to 4, 7 to 9 and Saturday January 30, 2016 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Emile may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
