1943 - 2016

Bathurst - Mrs. Hazel Griffith, 72, of Mt. Carmel St., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday February 14, 2016 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Cora (Boucher) Chamberlain.

She is survived by her four daughters: Carol Ann Chamberlain (Glen) of South Tetagouche, Christine Griffith-Service (Christopher) of Mississauga, Ont., Coralee Roy of Bathurst and Nicole Farrell (Brian) of Acton, Ont.  Seven grandchildren: Hilary, Justin, Madalyne, Dylan, Ashlee, William and Marjorie.

Five brothers: Billy Chamberlain (Almy), Claude Chamberlain (Nina), Leo Chamberlain, Harry Chamberlain (Anne) and Jimmy Chamberlain (Linda).

Seven sisters: Carmella Bertin, Helen Cullen, Evelyn Giraudy (Mike), Robina Couture (Robert), Ruth Chamberlain, Anne Chessie (John) and Murielle Roberts (Donny).  Several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two daughters: Jacqueline and Mary; one son, Shannon; three sisters: Priscilla, Leona, Lillian and the father of her children, John Griffith.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday morning February 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. from the Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
