Beresford – It is with great sadness that we the family announce the death of Roland Aubé of Beresford, which occurred Monday April 4, 2016, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 65. Born in Beresford, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Doris (Pitre) Aubé.
Besides his wife, Noëlline (Hammond) Aubé, he is survived by a daughter, Danielle Cormier (Jacques) of Fredericton.
Two grandchildren: Laurence and Pascal Cormier.
Two brothers and six sisters: Raymond Roy (late Wilda), Lorraine Burbridge (Ron) and Albert Aubé (Jeannine) all of Beresford, Emelda Lapointe (late Ernest), Victorienne Rideout and Ernestine Hachey (Jean-Pierre) all of Bathurst, Imelda Loimand (Jan) of Nelson, BC and Janice Bowes (Greg) of Miramichi.
One brother-in-law, Raymond Godin and three sisters-in-law: Janet Roy, Thérèse Roy and Thérèse Pelletier. Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Rita and three brothers: Alphonse Roy, Nazaire Roy and Victor.
He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Beresford and was a municipal counselor for the town of Beresford for many years. Roland was retired employee of the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 7 to 9 and Friday April 9, 2016 from 12 noon until time of funeral, at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 from Holy Name of Jesus Church, Beresford.
Donations in memory of Roland may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation or a favorite charity.
