1929 – 2016

Bathurst – Arthur Doucet of Miramichi Ave., Bathurst, passed away at the age of 87, on Friday April 15, 2016 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Fred and Dora (Doucet)Doucet.

Besides his wife, Angelie (Lavigne) Doucet, he is survived by four sons and three daughters: Claude (Noëlla), Raymonde Tremblay (Rolland), Réginald (Marie), Gilles (Monique) and Jean Marc (Adèle) all of Bathurst, Claudette Frenette (Jean Marc) of Robertville and Suzanne Doucet (Perry Moorehouse) of Hamilton, ON.

Fourteen grandchildren and Twenty-two great-grandchildren.

Three sisters: Marcelle Zmpolin (Walter) of Toronto, ON, Rita Couture and Janita Audet (Ronald) both of Bathurst. Several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by four brothers: Emile, Léopold, Martin, Gérard and two sisters: Stella and Jeanne.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from noon until time of funeral mass which will be celebrated at 2 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
