1946 – 2016

Nigadoo - Mrs. Barbara Roy, beloved wife of Lionel Roy, of Nigadoo, passed away at the age of 69, on Friday May 6, 2016, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Celina (Gagnon) Thibodeau.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three children: Stéphane of Nigadoo, Denis (Karina Martellino) of Montréal, QC and Shanie Roy (Guy) of Tremblay.

Four grandchildren whom she adored: Justin, Jesse, Jamie and Abryelle.

Five sisters: Lillian Grey, Elvira Lavigne (Clarence), Doreen Black (Byard), Irene Langlais (Clifford) and Carole O'Neil (Daniel "Jr.") all of Bathurst.

Three brothers: Allen Thibodeau (Annette) of South Tetagouche, Kenneth Thibodeau (Diane) and Lloyd Thibodeau (Shirley) both of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased a daughter, Denise; two sisters: Thelma, Tina and a brother, Patrick.

Visitation will be at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford on Tuesday, May 10 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday, May 11 2016 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning May 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. from St-Polycarpe Church, Petit-Rocher. 

Donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice.
