Bathurst - It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Mr. Arlice Chesley Ronalds, of Bathurst, who passed away May 15, 2016 at the age of 88. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family and the son of the late George and Gladys (Caie) Ronalds.

He is survived by his children: David (Rosemary) of Port Alberni, BC, Byron of Bathurst, Sharon Hamilton (Ed) of Fredericton, NB, Leigh (Theresa) of Burlington, ON and Kimberly Knowles (Allan) of Salmon Beach. 

Also survived by grandchildren: Andy, Shannon, Aaron, Loreigh and Kyle; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth (Wiseman); daughter, Karen; and second wife, Beulah (Walsh); sisters: Sadie Smyth, Thyrza Humphreys and Verna Watling.

Arlice had worked several years for the Eddy Group and later as a custodian at the Janeville Elementary School.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday May 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst.

The family would like to express thanks to the staff of Chaleur Regional Hospital and especially to Lillian and the staff of Southern Comfort Villa where Dad resided for the past two years.

Donations in memory of Arlice can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
