1931 – 2016

Bathurst – Mrs. Margaret Savoie, wife of the late Lucien M. Savoie, formerly of Miramichi Road, passed away at the age of 85, on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Laura (Ward) Bennett.

She was a loving and caring mother to eight children:  Anne Marie Roussel (Yvon) of Goodwin Mills, Walter Savoie (Joanne) of Campbell River, BC, David Savoie (Odette), Roger Savoie (Bonita) and Jocelyne Armstrong (late Craig) all of Bathurst, Hector Savoie (Candice) of Vancouver, BC, Stephen Savoie (Tammy) of Vernon, BC and Blair Savoie (Vickimona) of Onoway, AB.  13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Three sisters:  Blanche Young (Gordon) and  Marcella Roy both of Bathurst and  Ann Carmel (Gilles) of Pincourt, QC. 

One brother, Clifford Bennett of Valleyfield, QC.  Several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

The body will rest on Friday, May 27 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 9 a.m until time of funeral at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday May 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
