Janeville – Mrs. Marjorie Eddy, 87, wife of the late Blair Eddy, formerly of Parkside Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Monday July 4, 2016 at her residence in Janeville.

Born in Toronto, ON, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Avernia (Hinton) Gillham.

She is survived by three sons: Ian Eddy (Karen) of Calgary, AB, Dale Eddy (Micheline) of Bathurst and Jamie Eddy (Kelli) of Fredericton.

Four daughters: Susan Bishop (Greg) and Leslie Oldford (late Kevin) both of Bathurst, Janet Scott (Bruce) and Victoria Ellis (Darren) both of Janeville.  Sixteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

One sister, Roselyn Nicholson of Deep River, ON. Several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Michael Gillham.

Born in Toronto, she grew up in Montreal and graduated from McGill University.  She spent her summers at the family cottage in Carron Point, where she met the love of her life, Blair, and was married in 1950.  She lived the rest of her life in Bathurst where she raised 7 children. A very dedicated mother, her family was her life.  She was an active member of the United Church and a former member of The Eastern Star.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  A private Memorial service will be held from the United Cemetery, Bridge St., at a later date.  

Donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
