Louis Doucet of Allardville passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the age of 77,  at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Beresford, NB he was the son of late Alfred and Agnes Jessie (Montague) Doucet.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannette (Gionet); his daughter, Linda (Michel) Duguay; his son, Steve (Chantal) and four grandchildren: Tanya, Alain, Danny and Philippe.

He is also survived by three sisters and three brothers: Rita Cadieux (late Leon) of Lachine, QC, Della Lynch (late Bill), Leonard (late Emily) and Lawrence (late Arlene) all of Bathurst, Donald (Marielle) and Doris Pitre (Eric) both of Beresford.

He was predeceased by four brothers: Joseph, Norman, Bill, Gilbert and one sister, Stella Duguay.

Louis was a member of the NB Pipe Trade Local 325 and was a retired pipefitter.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home

The funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.  from the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com) Bathurst.

The family would like to thank all the personal from the Oncology department and the Palliative care at the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the exceptional care given to Louis his long and courageous fight against cancer.

Donations in memory of Louis may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a favourite charity.
