Bathurst - Louis Boucher of Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday January 8, 2017, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 74.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Harry and Jeanne "Janie" (Chamberlain) Boucher.
He was retired from the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill. Louis lived for his family and his camp. He loved receiving his family and friends and always took pleasure to help someone in need.
He is survived by his wife Angela Basque; his daughter, Diane Boucher-Mondo (François) of North Tetagouche and one son, Brian Boucher (Danielle) of Rough Waters.
Four grandchildren: Jérémie, Julie, Mélanie, Pierre-Luc and one great-granddaughter, Maya.
Four brothers: Doran Boucher (Monique), Alban Boucher (Anita), Edgar Boucher (Joanne) and Auguste Boucher (Germaine) all of Bathurst. One sister, Mary Vienneau (late Gerard) of Bathurst, also several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers: Hadley, Lionel, Eloi, Riordon and three sisters: Kathleen, Doreen and Alice.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning January 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Donations in memory of Louis may be made to a favorite charity.
