Bathurst - Derrill Arseneault, of Bathurst, passed away on Monday January 16, 2017, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 75.

Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Vereker) Arseneault. 

Derrill lived his life giving service to others in the field of Pharmacy, graduating in 1961 from Dalhousie University.  During his career, he owned and operated the former Pharmacie Arseneault in Petit-Rocher and the Jean-Coutu Pharmacy in Bathurst.  Derrill was an avid fisherman and member of the Gowan Brae Golf Club.

Besides his wife Joan (Keating) Arseneault, he is survived by two children: Kate Arseneault (Blair Zachary) of Beijing, China and Tim Arseneault (Carolyn) of Victoria, BC.  Two granddaughters: Alexis and Addison.

One brother, Claude Arseneault (Susan) of Sussex, NB.  One sister, Frankie Goodfellow (Paddy McMahon) of Miramichi.

Several brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Friday January 20, 2017 at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst.
