Bathurst – Mrs. Violet Legacy, wife of the late Alfred Lagacy, formerly of Levesque St., Bathurst, passed away on Monday January 30, 2017 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 78.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Rudolphe and Lucie (Roy) Doucet. 

She is survived by two sons:  Timmy Lagacy (Noëlla) and Gary Lagacy (Marcia) both of Bathurst.  Two daughters: Lucy Beliveau (Maria) and Tammy Daley (Timmy) both of Bathurst.  Seven grandchildren: Jeffrey, Cory, Stephanie, Blake, Danielle, Jonathan and Kelsey.

Three sisters:  Lillian Jesso of Oshawa, ON, Alice Couture (Lionel) and Joanne Frenette (Eugene) both of Bathurst. Two brothers:  Alfred "Freddy" Doucet (Connie) and Roland Doucet (Theresa) both of Bathurst.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by one brother, Larry.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at 11 am from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Violet may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
