Bathurst – Eugene Chamberlain, 73, of Miramichi Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday March 25, 2017 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Albert and Ada (Chiasson) Chamberlain.
Eugene was retired from the former Brunswick Mines and CTR Tire.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Doucet) Chamberlain and three sons: Denis (Vonnett Seeger) of Portland, Main, USA, Marc (Linda Cyr) of Bathurst and Andre (Romona Bissoon) of Brampton, ON. Eight grandchildren.
Three brothers: Kenneth Chamberlain (Alvina Allain), Alexandre Chamberlain (Murielle) and Wayne Chamberlain (Eva) all of Bathurst. Two sisters: Donna Lee Bernard (Thomas) of South Tetagouche and Sandra Daigle (Cyril) of Baie Sainte-Anne. Many nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by brothers: Réginald "Lulu", Roger, Lawrence and a sister, Yvette Gray.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 2 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. In memory of Eugene, donations to the Auberge Mgr.-Henri-Cormier Lodge, 333 Highfield St, Moncton, NB, E1C 5R7 would be appreciated by the family.
