It is with great sadness that we the family wishes to announce the passing of Gerald Couture, husband of Noëlla Couture of Bathurst which occurred on Sunday April 23, 2017 at his camp on Upsalquitch Lake at the age 71.

 Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Rita (Doucet) and the late Clarence Couture.

Besides his wife and mother of Bathurst, he is survived by his 5 children : René (Carolyn), Réal (Sylvie), Alma (Bill), Marcy, Marke. 

His 6 grandchildren: Joshua, Rebecca, Kody, Cody, Micah, Bradley.

His sister: Jeannette (Neil) of Ontario, one niece and one nephew. 

 He was predeceased by his father, one sister and one brother.

 Gerald was employed at Brunswick mines for many years until his retirement in 2000. 

He was a happy go lucky person who enjoyed life to the fullest; always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.  

Gerald was an avid fisherman and hunter, his passion was to spend as much time as possible at his camp. He will be missed by all who knew him.

There will be no visiting at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday April 28, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
