Bathurst - Nick Panko, 86, formerly of St. Andrew St., passed away on Monday May 1, 2017, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Welland, ON, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Bohun) Panko.

He worked in mining for most of his life.

Besides his wife, Lenora (Doucet) Panko, he is survived by a daughter, Paula Panko-Fogan (Darren) of Bathurst.

His brothers and sisters: Bill, Edward, Grace, Janet and Margaret.

Brother-in-law, Allain Doucet (Lucienne) of Bathurst and a sister-in-law, Rita Grant of Beresford.  Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday May 5, 2017, at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel.  Donations in memory of Nick may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of the donors choice.
