Surrounded by the affection of his family, Mr. Roland Landry, husband of Gabrielle Landry of Bathurst and formerly of Beresford, passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the age of 80.
Born in Beresford, he was the son of the late Arthur and Martha (Bryar) Landry.
Roland worked at the former Brunswick Mines for 30 years until his retirement in 1994.
Besides his wife Gabrielle of 57 years of marriage, he is survived by four children: Joanne Landry of Beresford, Michel Landry of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Carolle Landry (Charles Guitard) of North Tetagouche, Stéphane (Audrey) Landry of Dieppe,
A daughter-in-law, Carole Legacy of Bathurst.
Nine grandchildren: Paskal, Mikaël, Karine, Jessica, Jade, Amélie, Annick, Julie-Claude and Riley.
One brother, Guy Landry of Edmonton, Alberta; two sisters: Cyrilla (Larry Lennon) Doucet of Bathurst and Huguette (Étienne) Jean of Beresford and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-Law.
He was predeceased by a son, Claude; two brothers: Clovis and Olivio.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 9 a.m. Saturday, June 3 2017 at the Elhatton Funeral Chapel, Bathurst, until time of funeral service at 10 a.m.
In Memory of Roland, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association, the New Brunswick Lung Association or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff of 2nd floor West of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the excellent care given to Roland.
