It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Madonna (Donna) Black of Big River, NB, which occurred on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 71.
Born in St. John's, NF, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Agnes (Conway) Murphy.
Besides her husband, Garfield (Gary) Black, she is survived by two children: Todd Black (Lenore) of Halifax, NS and Sandra Black (Paul) of Big River, NB; two grandchildren: Jenna and Julia; one brother, Ron (Anita); six sisters: Bridgett (Lou), Mary, Margaret (Cyril), Sheila (Jim), Shan, and Helen, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings Austin, Edward, Raymond, Graham, Elizabeth, and Judy.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, September 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the Elhatton Funeral Chapel, Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Donna may be made to the War Amps of Canada, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.
