Mrs. Bonnie Godin of Big River NB passed away October 12, 2017 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 69 years old. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Gertrude (Furlotte) Mackenzie.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Ronald Godin; sons Jackie Godin (Deanna) of Big RiverNB; Joey Godin (Robert Frenette) of MiramichiNB; grandchildren Taylor Godin and Nicholas Godin. Sisters Elizabeth (Leslie) Good, Carolyn (Ralph) Stanger both of Big River; brother Richard (Sandra) Mackenzie of North Tetagouche NB, and many nieces, nephews, and brothers & sisters in law.

She was predeceased by her brother Jack; sisters Penny and Brenda.

At her request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday October 16, 2017 at 2 PM from the Elhatton’s Funeral Chapel (www.elhatton.com), St George Street, Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Bonnie may be made to the Canadian Cancer society.
