It is with great sadness the family of Joseph Goyetche, husband of the late Dorothy Goyetche of Bathurst announces his passing on Tuesday October 17th 2017, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

Born November 17, 1921 in Arichat,Cape Breton.

He worked for many years as a Miner in Nova Scotia; Newfoundland; Ontario and retired at Brunswick Mines. He was a veteran in the Second World War with the Carleton York Regiment and Cape Breton Highlanders.

He is survived by two children: Brenda Fraser (Gord) of Little Current, Ont. and Ronald Goyetche (Chopper) of Bathurst.

He is also survived by his sister, Margaret White of Nova Scotia.

He was predeceased by twelve siblings.

Visitations will be held at Elhatton’s Funeral Chapel (www.elhatton.com) St. George St., Bathurst on October 20, 2017 between 12 and 2 p.m., from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. A legion service will be held at 1:30 p.m.

Donations in memory of Joseph may be made to the Robert L. Knowles Veteran’s Unit.
