Bathurst - Benoit Hachey of Archibald St., Bathurst, and formerly of College St., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday October 26, 2017 at his residence, at the age of 103 and 7 months.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Simon and Elizabeth (Lanteigne) Hachey.

He was retired from the former Bathurst Paper Mill.

He was predeceased by his wife, Leona (Boudreau) Hachey.

He is survived by seven children:  Claudette Dugas (René), Denise Haché (Gilles), Aurele Hachey (Georgette) and Ben Hachey Jr. (Joan) all of Bathurst, Bill Hachey (Christine) of Quebec City, Jeannine Hachey (Conrad Baron) of Gatineau, Que. and Nicole O'Neil (Donald) of Fort McMurray, Alb.

14 Grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Two brothers:  Alexis Hachey of Salmon Beach and Albert Hachey of Montreal, Que.  Several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday, October 31 2017 from noon until time of funeral at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday October 31, 2017 at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
