Claude E. Lagacé, husband of the late Yvette (Roy) Lagacé of Pointe-Verte, passed away on Saturday, December 16th at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 79.
Born in Pointe-Verte, he was the son of the late Edouard and Josephine (Doucet) Lagacé.
Claude worked as a carpenter most of his life.
He is survived by three daughters: Louisa Murray (Pat) of Greenly, Ont., Marie-Josée Lagacé (Gaëtan Boudreau) of Nigadoo et Stéphanie Lagacé of Beresford.
Three grandchildren: Jennifer, Monique et Ryan.
Two brothers: Donald (Valerie)of Pointe-Verte and Réjean (Daniel Martin) of Drummondville, Que.
Four sisters: Wilma Doucet (Rodrigue) of Petit-Rocher, Patricia LeJeune of Pointe-Verte, Jeannette Aubut of Scarborough, Ont. and Esther Lagacé of Petit-Rocher.
His close companion, Emelda LaPointe of Bathurst.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Régis.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. from St-Vincent-de-Paul Church in Pointe-Verte, NB.
Donations in memory of Claude can be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
