Bathurst - Clyde Goldrup of Goodview Ave died suddenly on Friday January 5, 2018 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 77.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Eldon and Eva (Lavigne) Goldrup.
He worked all his life at the paper mill. Clyde loved the outdoors, especially fly fishing. Many knew him through his fly tying, rod building and repairs.
He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Jeannine (Doucet) Goldrup, of 54 years of marriage.
His son, Rev. Keith Goldrup of Jacquet River. Two daughters: Charlene Goldrup (Bernie) of Bathurst and Bonnie Goldrup (Shawn) of Devon, AB.
Two sisters: Janice Roy (Leo) of Robertville and Judy White (Earl Johnson) of Petit-Rocher.
Sister in law, Albertine Frame of Truro, NS.
Several nieces and nephews, many fishing friends and good neighbors.
He was predeceased by a brother, Blair Goldrup.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at 2 p.m. from St. Gabriel Church, Jacquet River.
Donations in memory of Clyde may be made to St. Gabriel Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
