It is with great sadness the family of Nelson Sergeant of Archibald Drive, Bathurst announce his passing on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 64.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late William & Rita (Godin) Sergeant.

He graduated from the Bathurst School of Nursing.

Nelson considered his work as a R.N. a profession, not just a career.  He was always willing to help others.  His passions in life were music and his cats.

He is survived by two sisters: Ada Sergeant of Cranbrook, BC and Connie Sergeant of Montreal, QC.

Three brothers: John (Cathy) of Sparwood, BC, Gordon (Evelyn) Sergeant and Denis (Tina) Sergeant both of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  Funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. from Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst.  (www.elhatton.com)
