Léo Paul Léger, of Bathurst and formerly of Petit-Rocher Nord, husband of the late Catherine (Robichaud) Léger, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 80.
Born in Richibouctou Village, he was the son of the late Clorice Léger and Rose Boucher.
Léo-Paul worked as a denturist in Petit-Rocher Nord from 1978 to 2004.
He is survived by one son Adrien (Sophie Doucet) Léger of Beresford and one daughter Colette Léger of St-Simon.
His grandchildren Michelle, Karine and Andrée.
His brothers: Exhibé (late Alphonsine), Aurèle (late Dora), Henri (Dorice), Gérald (Rita) all of Richibouctou Village.
Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Léon, Armand, Genéva, Eléonore, Ola and Aline. His brother Josephat passed away on the same day.
The family will received relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home, Beresford (www.mfheritage.com) on Friday August 17, 2018 from 1 pm until time of prayer service at 3 pm.
In memory of Léo-Paul, donations may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society of a charity of the donor’s choice.
The family would like to thank the Manoir Brise de l’Oasis and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the care given to Léo-Paul.
