It is with great sadness that we the family announce the death of Roger Roy, which occurred Friday December 28, 2018 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, following a period of illness at the age of 66.  His sisters Sheila and Elizabeth had the privilege of accompanying him during him during this last voyage.  He is no longer suffering and now has eternal life.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Valery and Marion (Stever) Roy.

He is survived by one brother, Stephen Roy of St. John’s, NF and two sisters: Sheila Roy (Judy) of Shediac and Elizabeth Arseneau (Donald) of South Tetagouche.

Nieces and nephews: Danielle Early (Mike), Jean-Marc Daigle (Vicky), Michael (Mary) Roy, Christine Roy (Marty), Stéphane Daigle (Janice), Dominic Arseneau (Marsha) and Mathieu Arseneau (Nathalie).

He was pre-deceased by two brothers: Thomas-Michael and Kenneth.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday January 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Roger may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
