  •  Date of Death: January 03, 2019
  •  Location: Bathurst

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Blair Thomas Joseph Boucher, 70, which occurred with dignity at his home, surrounded by his loving family on January 3rd 2019, after a long, brave battle with cancer.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mable (Imhoff) Boucher.

He served his community for 35 years as a member of the Bathurst Police Department. After his retirement from the police force, he enjoyed a second career as a shop manager for Tradesman Enterprises in Grand Prairie, Alberta.

He lived his life to the fullest, acquiring many lifelong friends along the way.  He thoroughly loved the outdoors and spent many hours navigating the Bay of Chaleur and fishing in his boat, The Lazy Sarah.

Blair is survived by his spouse Lillian (McArdle) Boucher; four children Matthew (Josee), Denise, Bruce (Heather), and Michelle (Doug); seven grandchildren Nicole (Andrew), Brian, Sarah, Mable, Brianna, Alex, Nolan, Ava and Madison; one great granddaughter Amelia; four brothers Harvey, Ernest, Harper and Duncan; three sisters Muriel, Verna and Connie.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Eugene and sisters Ruth and Imelda.

A special thank you to Blair’s physicians and the Extra Mural team, especially Laura for her dedication and compassion.

Arrangements are entrusted to Elhatton’s Funeral Home.  There will be no visitation and the funeral service will take place Friday, January 4th at 2pm at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Condolences and be expressed online at www.elhatton.com.  Donations, if wished, can be offered to The Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
