Surrounded by her family, Yolande Purcell – age 75, wife of John Thomas Purcell of Sormany, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 7, 2019 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst.
She was the daughter of the late Victor and Alma (Haché) Boudreau of Sormany.
She is survived by her husband, John; her daughter Jennifer Pitre (Jean-François) of Ste-Rosette and her son John Curtis Purcell (Tania) of Sormany; her 4 grandchildren whom she adored : Sarah, Zachary, Emma and Chloé; her step-children, grand-children and great-grand-children; her sisters: Odila Boudreau, Emilienne Blanchard, Estelle Boudreau (Réginald), Colette Frenette (Alcide), Bella Parker, Gabrielle Boudreau (Maurice) and Sr. Hectorine Boudreau, ss.cc.jm.; her brothers: Hector Boudreau (Blondine) and André Boudreau (Fernande); her brother-in-law Arthur Damase Doucet; as well as many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
She was predeceased by her sisters: Évangéline Jegerlehner and Rita Doucet and her brothers-in-law: Edmond Boudreau, Johnny Blanchard, Rodrigue Frenette, George Parker, Philippe Guitard and Rudolph Jegerlehner.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The religious service for Yolande Purcell will be celebrated at the Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila Church in Robertville on Saturday, April 13th, 2019 at 10am and will be followed by a small reception in the church basement for family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the many doctors at the Moncton Oncology Center and the Chaleur Regional Hospital, as well as the employees of the NB Extra Mural Program and the Palliative Care Unit of the Vitality Health Network in Bathurst for the care and attention given to Yolande.
