Bathurst – Mrs. Rollande Evelyne Furlotte, aged 82, of Bathurst, loving wife to the late Donald Thomas Furlotte and mother to Wendy Murphy (Ron McKay) of Bathurst, Sandra Furlotte of St. Petersburg, Florida, Karen Richard (Marc) of Bathurst and Darren Furlotte (Michelle) of Sydney, Australia passed away Sunday, January the 5th, 2020 at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.

Born in Dalhousie, N.B. to the late J.J. Bouchard and Beatrice LeBlanc, Rollande spent her life dedicated to her family, was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women’s League, church choir, taught catechism, an expert seamstress, cook, baker, knitter, homemaker and “nanny”. She was an avid skater, walker, skier and bowler, enjoyed volunteer work and treasured her membership in the “Sears” club. 

She was very proud of her children, grandsons Michael Murphy, Patrick Murphy and Robert Murphy and granddaughters Rebecca Richard and Kathleen Richard, who meant the world to her and were her greatest source of pride.   

Rollande is also survived by two brothers: Roland Bouchard (late Jeannine) and Fernand Bouchard (Huguette).

She loved socializing and had a very witty sense of humour.   

She was predeceased by sisters Claudette Mazerolle and Marcelle Petrie and her grandson, Patrick John Murphy.

She will be very sadly missed by everyone who knew her. 

The family would like to extend its sincere thanks to friends who visited her, to those who were close to her and for the care provided by the staff of the Foyer Notre Dames des Lourdes.

 There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 10th, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Rollande, the family suggests that donations be made to the Diabetes Association or to a charity of choice.
