Earline worked for many years as a sales associate at Schrier’s Style Center and as manager of the Women’s Clothing Department at Lounsbury’s in Bathurst. A career which was a perfect match for Earline who loved meeting and helping people and who, throughout her life, maintained a keen interest in women’s fashions.

Earline was an active member of the Downshore community. In particular, she had a flair for hosting large get-togethers to celebrate the successes and special life events of family members, friends and neighbours. She was a longstanding member of the Gloucester County Women’s Institute and Central United Church; she rarely missed a meeting of the Ladies’ Aid and United Church Women. For several years, she served as a member of the Church’s Board of Stewards.
