It is with great sadness the family of Michael “Mick” Dunphy, 64, of Bathurst, formerly of Brampton, ON, announces his passing on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, with family at his side. 

Born in Corner brook, NF, he was the son of the late Edmund J. and Corneilia “Neala” (Hawco) Dunphy.

Mick was a hard-working, family man that always made time for everyone. He was the life of the party and brightened every room he entered.  

He will be missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Glenda (Roberts) Dunphy and his children: Terri Brace of Caledon, ON, Michael (Desiree) of Sudbury, ON and Crystle Dunphy of Brampton, ON.

Grandchildren: Braedon, Karly, Hannah, Addison and Ava.

He is also survived by his siblings: Ken, Barb Dunphy, Bet Hynes (Harv) and Pat Kenny (Rob) all of Corner Brook, NF, Joe (late Michelle) of Toronto, ON, Joan Brett (Bill) of St. John’s, NF, and John (Rhonda) of Sackville, NS. As well as countless nieces, nephews, close family members and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friend for a public visitation at Elhatton’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 18th, 2020 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. A private funeral service will be held later.  Donations in memory of Mick may be made to the Organ and Tissue Program under the Horizon Health Authority in Saint John, NB.   Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
