It is with heavy hearts that the family of Denis Bryar, husband of the late Donna (Chiasson) Bryar wishes to announce his passing which occurred peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 54.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Raymond Bryar (Claudia) and Jeanne Legacy.

Besides his parents, Denis is survived by his brother, Marcel Bryar (Alice); his sisters: Joanne Bryar-Boudreau (Jean-Marc) and Debbie McParland (Ricky); his step-daughter, Julie Bernier (Dave) and his grandson Spencer which he loved dearly. He also leaves to morn, his niece, Tracy Breau, his nephews: Shawn Boudreau, Corey Glidden, Chaz McParland; his godson, Danny Boudreau and Dawson Bryar which he teasingly named “Chicklet” and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

Denis worked most of his life in the mining industry. Most recently for Boart Longyear Canada and previously for Progressive Diamond Drilling. He loved his loyal companion, his dog “Moe”. We will remember Denis as being quiet, loved to laugh and tease his loved ones. Our family would like to thank the Chaleur Regional Hospital medical staff of the I.C.U. and the palliative care unit for the compassionate care given, and a special thank you to Lloyd Branch, you are an angel in disguise.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton Funeral Home, Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020 between 7 and 9 p.m. A private service of remembrance will be held by invitation only. In memory of Denis, a donation to the Bathurst SPCA or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home. (www.elhatton.com).
